Your lichness, I think they’re coming for us again.. specifically @6:30pm Friday

Let them come you wimp, one of them will surely create a battle stack with a million supports and battle size boosters just to piss each other off.

FIREBALL!
Rob and April joined the OOTS faithful on Saturday.
We saw two characters not yet played before, Roy and Durkon. Despite the unfamiliarity, Ulmer took Roy through the 3-level grind fest and bent Xyklon over his knee (bad baby bad baby). Game time was just over 5 hours that included a rules explanation for the newbies.
WTH… snow in April!?!
While strolling through the mall (we were there for a specific item, not like we are mall rats or anything. Actually on second thought it would be fine to be a mall rat, one of the best movies ever, anyhow…) we usually stop into one of the game stores and poke around for a bit.
This time we stumbled upon another “must have”. Order of the Stick: The Adventure Game. Based on the comic (link in the sidebar) this game brings the feel of DnD with a splash of completely ridiculous comedy to your kitchen table.
Our first game took about 4 hours total, spanned over two nights. We were still learning the in’s and out’s of the rather extensive 26-page rulebook with attached errata sheet and 8-page “quick guide”. It sounds like a lot but our next game should fit within the 2-3 hour expected time frame.
After reading some posts on the Dev board for EQ, its been obvious that some of the usually vocal developers have been silent recently. Finally, the community figured it out. Some of the itemization and quest devs have been “loaned” to SoE’s new pet project, Free Realms
Looks like a combination of There, WoW, and battles like EQ. Intends to be Free upon launch, with added bonuses for “Members” what ever that means, or how ever that much costs.
