So apparently my luck this week is nothing short of dismal. Our Mediacom connection crapped out on us, our modem is dead, I’m on-call this week and our backup cell-card wouldn’t function, got paged at 3am, will be missing the Fair this week thanks to being on-call, Word Press needs yet ANOTHER security update tonight…

But on a good note, we’ve decided to make an addition to the family. Tito Rodriguez Carter will be ours soon!

So you think your life as a stay at home momma is interesting enough to blog about? (Ha, that’s a loaded question that delves into the relevance of blogs in general.. but I digress..) These mommas thought so and over time garnished quite a following. Apparently a few of them rose to such stardom that big corporations began pushing products there way, in hopes of getting some relatively inexpensive advertising via blog postings.

This created a backlash among the blog followers, calling them sell-outs, corporate plants, etc. Now, its always fascinated me that nearly anyone can start making big $$$ by simply regurgitating (and in most cases embellishing) their daily happenings, but I’ve never put enough stake into any of these people’s blog to the point I would feel disgruntled upon finding out they were making some cash from it.

What’s the big deal? Are you mad these self-proclaimed life experts are cashing in from their hobby?

The official Twitter blog reports that Twitter has been a target of a mass-DoS (Denial of Service) attack this morning, bringing the site to its digital knees. It appears they’ve managed to stave off the attack for now, and service has been restored. Tweet away, and I’m sure #DoS will be the top trend today.

After the upgrade to 2.7, I’ve noticed an increase in spam Subscriptions, so if I accidentially delete your login shoot me an EMAIL and let me know who you are and what login you’re using.  Obvious ones like, “Enzyte81093@hotmail.com” and “Viagra9182@gmail.com” are getting the boot, but hell some of you just may have an email like “growlargenow@yahoo.com” …. I dunno.

Well, IXWebhosting has floated the FAIL BOAT yet again.  Another round of SQL injection hacks have made their way into IX accounts and is spreading like wildfire.  Lucky we haven’t been hit yet, but sounds like Josh has.  Jillian’s site was acting suspiciously this morning but we’re not positive if it was hit or not.

So where are we going you might ask?  Downstairs.  That’s right, my basement.

Let the Linux Project begin.
